Made in collaboration with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Brizo’s latest bath suite is inspired by the late architect’s visionary designs and brings a timely injection of art nouveau to the bathroom. Today we are taking a minute to talk about this newest addition to Frank Lloyd Wright’s legacy.
Who was Frank Lloyd Wright?
Frank Lloyd Wright was born June 8, 1867 and is still known as one of America’s most well-known architects, even recognized in 1991 as “The Greatest American Architect of All Time” by the American Institute of Architects. Hailed as the father of the American Art Deco movement, Wright’s designs emphasize a connection with the Earth and attention to organic detail.
This collaboration with Wright’s Foundation adds to Brizo’s history of innovating with top industry names in order to push the envelope of what is expected in the fixture design space. The collection is also extremely timely as Art Deco sensibilities are in vogue for home and interior design right now.
Wright designed over 1000 structures, including many homes in the Chicago area that can still be seen today. The faucets embody Wright’s Six Principles of Organic Architecture; Belonging, Simplicity, Individuality, Palette, Substance, and Integrity, staying true to the architect’s legacy.
The collection is available in a refined selection finish options, with the wood versions only available with polished or brushed nickel. For a version without the guyana teak wood, the metal only versions are available in chrome, polished/brushed nickel, and brushed steel.
The narrow finish options keep the art nouveau sensibility clear in all versions of the spouts and set this collection apart from other premier bathroom fixtures. Like almost all of Brizo’s products, the collection boasts solid brass construction.
By staying true to the principles of the design, the collection is perfect for those looking for unique, art nouveau sensibilities in their master bath or powder rooms. There is undoubtedly a timeless class to these fixtures that will keep their appeal for many years to come.
